2000-2001 IWPA
Aky had another successful season with
the IWPA. He fell short of earning his Working Dog Superior or
Working Dog Excellent Title on Snow. But he managed
to pull his way to a regional gold medal on both wheels
and snow securing an invitation to the championships
for the second time. In addition to these accomplishments
he pulled a personal best of 3,080 pounds at the Springtime
in the Rockies pull at PetSmart in Missoula, MT.
Retiring in grand style; Aky is going to take a break
from competitive weight pulling to pursue other sports.

The 2000-2001 IWPA Championships were held in Cheyenne
Wyoming. As has been the pattern in the past this year
the event
was even bigger than last year. The competitors
were wonderful
and the dogs were incredible. While we didn't
find ourselves on
the winners podium this year; I couldn't have been
more proud of
my boy. He pulled to his best ability and proved
once again that
the versatile GSD can do more than just herd sheep. |
